ACCOMPLICE: India SegmentA Teton Gravity Research Production

In November, 2019 I was invited to join Director Jeremy Grant and the Teton Gravity Research crew on a trip to Ladakh, Northern India, to film pro mountain bikers Hannah Bergemann and Veronique Sandler explore unridden lines in the Himalaya. Riding 10,000+ feet above sea level and with virtually no established mountain biking zones, this was a true adventure!

Every day started with a 4×4 jeep ride into a new area, a drone reconnaissance of a promising line, and then a long hike up, gear and bikes on our backs. Some days resulted in the epic shots featured in this video, others resulted in a harrowing scramble back down to safety. It was one of the most fun shoots I’ve ever worked on. My upbringing in India helped to capture the verite interactions with locals and landscape, and I learned a ton about filming the sport itself through Grant, who’s built his career filming mountain biking in some of the harshest environments imaginable.

The full film, “Accomplice“, premiered in July, 2020, and is currently available for rent on itunes.
