I created this piece for my dear friends Rebecca Williams and Malcolm (Mayank) Reid, facilitators of the upcoming Retreat Himalaya in the Kullu Valley of India’s Northern Himalaya.
From September 12-23, 2016, Rebecca and Mayank will offer participants a unique immersion into the yogic lifestyle where it originated – the temples, forests and villages of India’s Himalayas. Participants will share in daily meditation and movement practices, hike to high mountain passes and ancient temples, and enjoy local cuisine and cultural events. Originally from New Zealand, Rebecca and Mayank have been living in the Kullu Valley for the past 30 years studying meditation and Vedic philosophy with an Indian master. They bring insight, humour, and a deep wisdom born of experience to their teaching.
It was a pleasure exploring high passes and remote villages with these peaceful and fun-loving folk. It is my hope that this film inspires people to take the plunge and commit to doing something incredible for themselves – meditating in the Himalayas with Rebecca and Mayank.
